For once I would like us to be stuck in our room because its cold and snowy outside, not because it is hot as hell and you dont want to move.

We had one cold arctic storm just before xmas that dumped rain and snow. Its January now and its 90 degrees. What is wrong here? The northeast states are getting slammed with blizzards and snow and temperatures that sound perfect to me right now.

Heres a recap of our updated list of "lets move to...":

<del>Colorado</del> ...this didnt work out.

Maine

Minnesota

The UK

Ireland

Canada?

well december, thanks for the chill. Now, I guess I'll be breaking out my swimtrucks and hit the beach this winter. (then spring, summer, fall, winter again?...etc)

rough day today. it was pretty hot. and not like blistering hot, just that really uncomfortable hot. Ashley and I went to see the kitties at the spca. its great to see the new cats that come into there. they have 2 rooms of cats that you can go into and just sit and play with them and pet them. give them love and attention. its really nice. We visited the dogs on the way out. Saw our friend, Roover, hes a spotted pitbull mix. I dont care for pitbulls, I think they are a dangerous breed, but this guy seems pretty friendly.

A shirt came to me today. it was supposed to be here in june, but it was on backorder. I dont like it. fucking sucks when you wait for a shirt and it FINALLY gets here and its ugly. Also sucks when it doesnt even look like the shirt on the website where you ordered it. (which happens to be the case).

I got a voicemail from this guy Jim Monte, who does videos for shows and dances, etc. Its the kinda business where your kids in a show, and there some company video taping it, selling it to you, so you can have the memories. Well thats this guy. So i did it once. well i came in and did some crew work, then got a call a few days later to come and film the show. I was on the handheld. This camera weighed fucking 50lbs or so. I had to have it on my right shoulder (and im left handed) for 4 hrs. It fucking hurts. Im not used to being locked in that camera position that long with that much weight. needless to say, I was in terrible pain. He makes you wear dress shoes for the gigs which is like walking on wooden planks, and then add that 50lb cam to it and you got yourself a recipe for pain.

but i need work, so it will have to suffice, for now. Colorado is only a few months away.

its getting hectic but the more I read about it, the more excited i get.

-j

getting all the stuff together for colorado is definitely frustrating. We have a lot that we want to keep/take, but I'm getting exceedingly worried about the space available in the car.

In addition, I have 2 big pieces of furniture, that although could be taken apart, are still too large for our Honda civic. Our plan was to have A's parents drive out there with us, with the truck to take the big stuff, so they could see the new baby. However, this plan doesn't seem, to me, like its gonna work. I dont like relying on others, and I'm still not sure if they are gonna want to help us, so this makes for some interesting developments.

I may have to part with my enormous desk, and trusted short bookcase (which I use for records and my record player and other things). On the bright side I could make some cash, but not enough to buy another one. (they dont have Ikea there).

what to do...

so I am watching last comic standing, but most of them have not been that funny. the only guy funny was this guy from colorado. he was the second one to perform.

today i had a job interview. it went ok. seems like everyone wants someone who knows how to do what they want. this place installs draperies in hospitals...so he asks if i have experience installing draperies... um.... who would have such experience. I could maybe think of a page in the phone book for draperies installation. i hung some blinds before, but seriously i need years of experience to drill some holes and hang some bar and draperies??

fuck california and all the employers. cant wait to get out of here.

I love my lady, ashley. she is my g/f, so dont ask.
